Here is a shot of Emily hanging out with Ty Patty (can you see her teeth?):
Thankfully, this was her attitude while she was in the car. She would take 15 minute naps and then we would hear her giggling in the back seat. We aren't sure what made her laugh, but we were glad that she was having a good time during the long drive.
One of the bridges that we had to cross to get to St. George Island:
The sign that greeted us as we arrived on the island:
The view of the retreat center from the bridge:
One of the local landmarks:
The place that Mike (and Ty) visited daily:
Ty even helped put away the groceries:
Our motel (we didn't get a picture of the camper where we spent the first 2 nights):
This is how Emily and I spent our time in the motel:I realize the pigtails are not even, but she doesn't really look right with her hair parted in the middle.
A peaceful shot of Emily at the beach:
This is what Emily really thought about the beach (you may want to put on sunglasses before looking at the next picture - my blinding white legs make it difficult to see):
Ty made the most of our 10 minutes at the beach:
For some reason, we didn't really take a lot of pictures of the group that was there with us - not sure why. I did get some shots of a game one night. Each person was supposed to have one cup of water. In the picture below, you will notice the youth pastor (in the green shirt) is leading his team while carrying a bucket. You will also notice that his entire team has two cups. They were just a little competitive.
