Cuteness and more stuff to fill our apartment

I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter. We were fortunate enough to eat with some of our church family yesterday. About 23 of us stayed after church and enjoyed lunch in the fellowship hall. We feasted on ham, turkey, broccoli casserole, corn pudding, potluck potatoes and many other things. By the time service was over, you could smell the food cooking throughout the church! It was delicious and we really enjoyed the time of fellowship.

Mike and I were hoping to get some family photos yesterday, but that did not go well. We waited too long and by then Emily was not feeling very cooperative. This is her right before the attempted photo shoot. Doesn't see look lively?

I did get a couple of photos when we got home. She seemed to be a bit happier about posing. I think she knew we were about to put her down for a nap - she was SO tired.

Isn't she adorable? I admit that I am biased, but she is just too cute!

Today, we got to meet Emily's new occupational therapist through First Steps. She came bearing LOTS of gifts for Emily:

We really need to get some batteries! We had enough for Emily to try out a few of these items. She really liked the mirror with beads. I think she liked looking at herself and the feel of the beads on her hands. She thought the bubble blower was pretty interesting too. She also got some computer software that she can use with her switch (that is the pink thing next to the bubble blower). She cannot say she is bored with all this variety!

Emily will also be going to occupational therapy at a local therapy center once a week. The therapist there will be working with Emily on a lot of movement and helping her with her sensory issues. I think the addition of these 2 new therapists and all this new stuff to play with is going to help Emily grow and learn some new things. Plus, it is going to keep Mike pretty busy too. We cannot let him get bored, now can we?

Of course she looks beautiful - she's Bullitt Lick's little princess!! I think I'm going to have to come over and have a play date with Emily and help her try out her new toys!

Love you all,

She is beautiful. I love the dress and the pretty ribbon in her hair!

I linked to you off of a post on "5minutes for Special Needs"

Emily and my K are pretty close in age. K was born the end of September 2007 (one month early).

With all those toys and equip, our houses start to look like one big therapy room!
