A Picture Fix

I know it has been a while since I've written, but it has been a little busy here. I actually have a few minutes to sit down and organize some pictures for you. Emily is doing well after a few weeks of sickness and sleepless nights. After she got her one year shots, it all went down hill. She is finally back on track and actually slept through the night last night. She has been waking up with a stuffy nose and having a hard time breathing. We have been giving her Claritin and we have an air filter in the room AND a humidifier but she still has problems.

Right now she is taking her morning nap and it is peaceful and quiet for now.

If you read the last post, it might have brought you back to where we were a year ago. We have come so far and God has been so good to us. We are truly blessed beyond measure. There are so many needs that Emily has that are taken care of by insurance and the therapists are doing a wonderful job with her. She has her struggles, but a smile on her face can erase long hours of crying.

Dawn and I are in the process of preparing for a trip to RI in two weeks. We are going for 10 days, depending on if it takes us one day or two to get there and back. We are hoping to do it in one, but we are planning on taking two if need be. It is all up to Emily and how well she handles the car ride. It is 16 hours straight through for Dawn and I with stopping only for gas, food and bathroom breaks. We will see if Emily can handle our schedule or if we will have to conform to hers.

The biggest challenges are what to bring and how to fit it in the car. She has so much equipment and necessities that we can't leave behind, but there are many things that just won't fit. She will have a few weeks free from her "torture devices."

Everything will work out fine although it is going to be a long few weeks! Dawn has every minute of our time scheduled and I think I saw some time for sleep. She has been very good about making sure that we get the chance to see everyone at some point in the week.

Well, I think I said enough. Now for what you really came here of Emily.

This picture is actually taken at 10:30 pm. She was sound asleep! Isn't her leopard print sleep sack pretty?
This is one of her new favorite toys that she got for her first birthday.

Three times a week for an hour to an hour and a half she is supposed to wear this patch. Can't you tell how excited she is? After about ten minutes it turns to crying...I didn't take a picture of that.

My two beautiful girls! Who could ask for more?

A smile that can cheer up anyone!

The smile continues!

Just chillin' on the couch...two seconds before she fell over.

Ahhh...thanks for the picture fix.

Hope all continues well with your going-away plans. We'll be praying that it does.

Praying for you,

Aargh, Matey!

Sorry. Couldn't help myself. = ) Can't wait to see all of you on the 21st!!! What a fantastic way to celebrate my birthday! With some of my favorite people in the world (and I mean that literally).

Amy said... cute! Can't wait to meet Emily! Funny, I was thinking the same pirate comment Stephanie made. Let's just say with M2 the patch would be quite popular! :)
